Junior Mechanical Estimator

Located in West Georgia, the company continues to grow and is expanding its estimating team to support increasing demand across commercial and industrial construction projects, particularly in healthcare and higher education.

The Role

This role will support the estimating department and work closely with a team of three experienced estimators. The position focuses heavily on the takeoff process, assisting in preparing estimates for mechanical construction projects involving HVAC and plumbing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their estimating career within a respected mechanical Our client while gaining exposure to complex commercial and industrial projects.

Core Responsibilities

Quantity Takeoffs: Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
Bid Preparation: Assist estimators with bid preparation and estimate development
Pricing Support: Support pricing of materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes
Document Organization: Organise project documents and bid packages
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate and competitive bids
Estimate Reviews: Participate in internal estimate reviews and project discussions

Candidate Profile

Experience: 2–3+ years of estimating or construction experience preferred
Mechanical Exposure: Exposure to mechanical construction, HVAC, or plumbing systems
Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Growth Desire: Desire to grow within a mechanical contracting environment
