California Privacy Notice
Your California privacy rights under the CCPA and CPRA
Effective Date: March 30, 2026
This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to residents of the State of California. It describes the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, the categories of third parties with whom we share it, and your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA/CPRA").
ConstructionExecs is a construction recruitment firm. We provide this notice as a best practice commitment to transparency, even if we may not meet all statutory thresholds that would require CCPA/CPRA compliance.
1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA):
A. Identifiers
- Full name, email address, phone number, mailing address
- LinkedIn profile URL
- IP address, browser type, device identifiers (collected automatically)
B. Personal Information Under Cal. Civ. Code Section 1798.80(e)
- Name, address, telephone number, education, employment history
- Resumes, cover letters, and project lists submitted through job applications
C. Professional or Employment-Related Information
- Current and past job titles, company names, employment dates
- Skills, certifications, construction software proficiency
- Current salary, target salary, construction division preferences
- Willingness to relocate, commute distance preferences, earliest start date
D. Education Information
- Degree, field of study, school or institution name, graduation year
E. Commercial Information
- Talent Signal subscription purchase history and confirmation numbers (employers only)
- Payment transaction records processed through Stripe
F. Internet or Electronic Network Activity Information
- Browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs
- Pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages
- Cookie data and session identifiers
G. Inferences
- Resume parsing results extracted by automated tools (skills, qualifications, work history)
2. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you: When you create an account, submit a job application, upload a resume, fill out a contact form, purchase a Talent Signal subscription, or schedule a consultation.
- Automatically: When you browse our website, through cookies, log files, and similar tracking technologies. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. Google reCAPTCHA collects interaction data for bot protection.
- From service providers: Loxo (applicant tracking system where your candidate profile is managed).
3. Business and Commercial Purposes for Collecting Personal Information
We collect and use personal information for the following business purposes:
- Recruitment services: Matching candidates with construction industry job opportunities, processing job applications, and managing the hiring pipeline.
- Account management: Creating and maintaining your candidate or employer account, verifying your identity, and providing access to your profile, applications, and saved jobs.
- Payment processing: Processing Talent Signal subscription payments through Stripe, generating confirmation numbers, and managing billing records.
- Communication: Sending email verification codes, purchase confirmations, password reset links, and responding to contact form inquiries.
- Resume parsing: Automatically extracting structured information from uploaded resumes to pre-fill application and profile forms for your convenience.
- Site improvement: Analyzing usage patterns through Google Analytics to improve website functionality and user experience.
- Security: Protecting against fraud, unauthorized access, and bot activity through reCAPTCHA verification, brute-force login protection, and Content Security Policy headers.
- Legal compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
4. Categories of Third Parties with Whom We Share Personal Information
We share personal information with the following categories of third parties for the business purposes described above:
Service Providers
- Loxo (Applicant Tracking System): Candidate profiles, resumes, job application data, employment history, and education records are synced to Loxo for recruiter pipeline management.
- OpenAI (Resume Parsing): Text extracted from uploaded resumes is sent to OpenAI for automated data extraction. No files are stored by OpenAI.
- Stripe (Payment Processing): Employer payment information is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Microsoft Azure (Cloud Hosting and Storage): Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure servers, including Azure PostgreSQL (database), Azure Blob Storage (uploaded files), and Azure Communication Services (transactional emails).
- Google (Analytics and Security): Google Analytics collects anonymized browsing data. Google reCAPTCHA processes interaction data for bot protection.
Other Disclosures
We may also disclose personal information if required by law, regulation, or legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ConstructionExecs, our users, or others.
5. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information
ConstructionExecs does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
We also do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. We do not use your data for targeted advertising across other websites or platforms.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer an opt-out mechanism for the sale or sharing of personal information. If our practices change in the future, we will update this notice and provide an opt-out option.
6. Sensitive Personal Information
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA (such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, genetic data, biometric data, or health information).
If sensitive personal information is incidentally included in a resume or document you upload, we do not use it to infer characteristics about you. We recommend removing sensitive personal information from your resume before uploading.
7. Your California Privacy Rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA. These rights are subject to certain exceptions and limitations:
7.1 Right to Know
You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we shared it.
7.2 Right to Delete
You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, if we need the information to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or exercise free speech rights).
7.3 Right to Correct
You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. You can also update much of your information directly through your account profile page.
7.4 Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing
As stated in Section 5, we do not sell or share your personal information. If this changes in the future, we will provide an opt-out mechanism.
7.5 Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
We do not collect or use sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our services. Since we do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, there is no additional use to limit.
7.6 Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your California privacy rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, provide a different level of service, or suggest that you will receive a different price or quality of service for exercising your rights.
8. How to Exercise Your Rights

Please include your full name, email address associated with your account, and a description of the specific right you wish to exercise. We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need additional time (up to an additional 45 days), we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it.
9. Verification Process
Before fulfilling your request, we must verify your identity to ensure you are the person whose personal information is the subject of the request. We will ask you to provide information that matches the records we have on file, such as your name and the email address associated with your account.
For requests to know specific pieces of personal information, we may require additional verification steps. If we cannot verify your identity, we may deny the request and will explain the basis for the denial.
10. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. To do so, you must provide the authorized agent with written permission to act on your behalf, and we may require you to verify your own identity directly with us before we process the request. Alternatively, the authorized agent may provide a power of attorney under California Probate Code Sections 4000-4465.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 4). Specific retention periods include:
- Candidate accounts and resumes: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
- Job applications: Retained for up to 24 months after submission for recruitment and compliance purposes.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention policies.
- Contact form submissions: Retained for 12 months after resolution.
12. Notice of Financial Incentive
We do not offer any financial incentives, price differences, or service differences in exchange for the collection, retention, or sale of personal information.
13. Changes to This Notice
We may update this California Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this notice. We encourage you to review this notice periodically.
